About Jesse
Jesse Powers is an American multi-genre singer-songwriter and self-proclaimed “Joy Reminder-er” based in Ohio, USA. She shares her music at country-wide spiritual gatherings and in the Unity and Centers for Spiritual Living communities, and often graces stages, livingrooms, and backyards with her live solo concerts. With her tumbling vocal stylings, powerhouse melodies, and infectious energy, Jesse seeks to awaken and entertain those who listen. She has collaborated with several new thought artists including Gary Lynn Floyd on their track “Resolve To Evolve” and Eddie Watkins Jr. on his track “From Fear To Faith.” Her song “The Love Song of Everything” was a finalist in the 2021 Great American Song Contest and was nominated for a Positive Music Award in 2022. Her performance of her 2020 lockdown anthem “Alpaca Socks” was a finalist in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest for Jazz Vocal Performance. Her debut album “Begin” was released in November, 2017. Her second full-length album “To Remember” was released in summer 2021. Her music is available for streaming on all platforms.
Journey With Me
My first journey with TGG was in February of 2022, and I can confidently say that my mind and heart experienced significant shifts during my visit. I spent my time on the tea plantation learning to garden, cook traditional Indian dishes, harvest spices and fruits, plant trees, and wash my laundry by hand. In the evenings I would stroll the property and the surrounding village, meeting farmers and schoolchildren, exploring nature, and using the quiet dusk hours to reflect on my life so far and where I wanted to go next. My two week stay with TGG hit the “reset” button on mind–after a lifetime of being in the rat-race and scrambling to make ends meet in the US, coming to Wayanad was like a deep exhale. I have continued my work with TGG and have begun to envision an alternative path for my life–one that prioritizes wellness, learning, freedom, flow and, most of all, PRESENCE.
